Next Monday 24th March we will be launching our Reimagining RSE project .
This will be a first look at our new framework dedicated to transforming how we approach the teaching of relationship and sex education. Reimagining RSE is all about providing an evidenced based approach to RSE, and providing both young people and educators with the tools to make it happen.
The seeds for the project started back in the summer of 2023, when we ran a pilot Porn’ Literacy programme across two schools. Whilst the title of porn literacy, might be a little misleading – essentially it was a vehicle for delivering comprehensive RSE designed to develop critical sexual citizenship. The programme encompassed two full days of teaching with students, training and support for teaching staff and a session for parents.
The staff who took part in the programme and joined our sessions with young people were interviewed by us as part of our evaluation – the films were produced by Coasthouse Productions and give you a hint of what you can expect from our launch event next week.
